Helping Pacific People into Work or Training
We provide a free Tupu Aotearoa programme to help you to find the right kind of work, tertiary training or industry qualification towards a successful and thriving future.
Whether that’s getting skills to nail a job interview, or figuring out what to do after leaving school, we’ve got your back.
To qualify for this free programme, you must be:
- Of Pacific Island descent
- 15 years + and are NZ citizens or permanent residents
- Not in education, employment or training
- Currently residing in Aotearoa NZ
This service is funded by the Ministry for Pacific Peoples (Tupu Aotearoa) and SENZ have coaches in the Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, and Manawatu-Whanganui regions.
Coaches who will support you all the way
Our specialist Pasifika Pathway coaches will journey with you for 12 months and provide you with a plan, advice, tools and resources to get you on track. Our coaches really do care about your success and you can talk to them anytime.
Hands-on help with applications and paperwork
We can help you navigate applying for jobs, scholarships,
apprenticeships and enrolments. If you need help to understand and
complete forms - that’s what we’re here to help with.
Financial Support for tools
After determining your needs and with Funder approval, we can even
provide some financial support to help you get tooled up for your
future steps. It’s just like a scholarship!
